Topic: African Swine Fever – Potential Impact Upon Ohio Agriculture
Outside of the US Commercial Pork Industry, the rest of agriculture may be woefully unprepared and have very little appreciation for the widespread effects of African Swine Fever. Join members of the Ohio Agricultural Council and others interested in the agricultural industry on Tuesday, April 12, to learn more about this threat to Ohio and US agriculture as we know it today.

Dr. Dermont Hayes of Iowa State will present an economic analysis of what African Swine Fever would mean to the US ag supply chain if/when it arrives in the US and Dr. Andy Bowman of Ohio State will present on the likely speed and scope of the spread of ASF if/when it arrives in the US. Cheryl Day is known as an agent of change, thought leader and a passionate and practical voice for agriculture. She serves as the Executive Vice President of the Ohio Pork Council and will moderate the session.
