Joseph W. Fichter

Joseph W. Fichter, Butler county, is a friendly dedicated man with many agricultural related interests. He spent many years in the education profession as a school teacher and county superintendent in Butler County, Assistant State Director of Education and Professor at Miami University. For 60 years he has been active in the Grange, serving 16 years as state lecturer, eight years State Master and National Chaplain. He has been an active member of the Ohio Farmers Union for over 25 years.

He has served as a member of the Ohio Commission on Aging since its creation in 1973. Mr. Fichter also served as a Trustee of Miami University and as a member of the Governor’s Task Force on Tax Reform. He is a member of the Methodist Church and Rotary International. He has been an advocate of the things which are good for America and the building of strong family life.
