Dr. Raymond A. Miller

Dr. Raymond A. Miller truly bled scarlet and grey and dedicated nearly four decades to Ohio State University’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. He earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from Ohio State University and began his career as a counselor and assistant professor, eventually becoming the assistant dean for student affairs and alumni coordinator for the College. His guidance helped thousands of students and alumni achieve successful careers in agriculture.

Miller co-founded the Alpha Zeta Partners leadership program and advised the College Council, Ag College Chorale and Ohio Staters philanthropic club. His commitment to student leadership and development was evident in his advisement of student organizations and the creation of scholarship opportunities. Known for his passion for mentoring, Miller ensured students had the resources needed to thrive.

Beyond the classroom, Miller played a significant role in alumni relations, organizing events like the annual Ag Alumni Fall Fest Homecoming and fostering a strong alumni network. He also coordinated the scholarship programs and job services for the College, building relationships with employers seeking interns and full-time employees. Dr. Miller’s legacy of the thousands of students, alumni and employers he impacted continues to influence the agricultural industry, making him a distinguished figure in Ohio agriculture.
