Dean W. Simeral

Lobbyist Dean W. Simeral, of Leesburg, was a legislative representative for state and national affairs for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation for more than 35 years. Relating to every commodity group, Simeral coordinated and carried legislative issues on their behalf, and assisted farmers and agribusinesses in coping with the emerging plethora of regulatory initiatives.

Simeral assisted in handling legislation and regulatory concerns for the rural electric cooperatives, the Farm Credit System, Countrymark/Landmark regional and locals, feed and grain industry organizations, milk cooperatives and virtually all other organizations in rural Ohio.

In addition, Simeral carried the appropriations and budget needs of the Ohio State University Extension Service, OARDC, and the College of Agriculture to the leadership and finance committee members of the General Assembly. He did the same for the Ohio Department of Agriculture in a similar fashion.
