Darwin R. Bryan

Darwin Bryan, Franklin County, has been instrumental in the development of leadership skills of thousands of Ohio’s rural youth. In the early part of his forty-year career of active service to rural youth he devoted extensive effort to assisting county agents with the Ohio Youth program. Later he organized the County Farm Bureau Youth Councils. He also excelled in educating youth on the importance of cooperatives.

For many years Mr. Bryan served as Youth Activities Director of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, retiring in 1973. As an expert in communications, he taught public speaking, dramatics, recreation, writing, folk and square dancing. Mr. Bryan gave freely and generously of his time to assist FFA, 4-H, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Y. M. C. A., Schools, Churches, Hospitals, Institutions and Community Organizations. He has been an unselfish servant of mankind.
