Dale T. Friday

Dale Friday, Franklin County, is best known for his public service as the General Manager of the Ohio State University’s Farm Science Review. He was a primary organizer of the initial annual Farm Science Review in 1963. Under his guidance, the Review became nationally recognized as the premier presentation of the newest and best in agricultural automation and mechanization involving farming practices. Upon his retirement in 1981, the Review had grown nearly five-fold in the numbers of exhibitors as well as attendance.

His distinguished educational career spans over 50 years. He taught vocational agriculture, served as a county extension agent and as an agronomist in private business as well as a state extension agronomist. He was the recipient of the 1980 Ohio Grain and Feed Association’s Distinguished Service Award. Numerous other awards have also been bestowed upon him by businesses and other state associations. He has held numerous leadership capacities in several state and national organizations.
