Charles Plumb, Franklin County-outstanding teacher of animal science and department chairman at Ohio State University for many years. His counsel was sought in many quarters and freely given.

He promoted a better agriculture through education, cooperation and organization . . . a personable gentleman who left a legacy recognized as one of the finest animal science departments in the country . . . Plumb Hall carries his name today.
