Leon M. Evans

Leon M. Evans, Jackson County-dean of agricultural finance in southern Ohio. His knowledge of agricultural finance and credit was unquestioned as an outstanding county agent and civic and community booster, successful farmer, teacher and tireless worker in youth activities. Leon was vice-president of the First National Bank of Jackson.
He was selected by the U. S. State Department to make a study of agricultural credit in Tunisia in 1959. Mr. Evans dedicated his life to the improvement of Ohio agriculture.
