Joseph Oppenheim

Joseph Oppenheim, Mercer County-educator, inventor and pioneer in the field of agricultural mechanization. Inventor of the first Manure Distributor and Spreader and founder of the New Idea Manufacturing Company now a division of the largest manufacturer of farm machinery in Ohio teacher and inventor.

His teaching brought him the honor of being the first teacher in the area to receive a Lifetime State Teachers Certificate.
