Beatrice J. Cleveland

Beatrice “Bea” Cleveland, Franklin County, has influenced the lives of thousands of Ohio’s young people and volunteer leaders, through her life long involvement with the 4-H youth program while associated with The Ohio State University’s College of Agriculture, Home Economics and Natural Resources.

She began her 39 years of public service as a County Home Economics Agent prior to joining the State 4-H staff, where she held the positions of Acting Assistant Director and the State Leader, 4-H. Her greatest contribution was inspiring thousands of young people to develop their leadership and themselves to their potential. Since retiring in May, 1977, she has remained active by supporting The Ohio State University, particularly the 4-H program and the School of Home Economics.
