Charles E. Wyckoff

Charlie Wyckoff, Pike County, has been a farmer/dairyman and a leader in rural electrification for over a half century. In 1935, Charlie was an incorporator of an electric cooperative at a time when only 18 percent of Ohio’s farms were connected to central station electric service. A strong believer in cooperatives, he has devoted untiring effort to help provide abundant, affordable electrification to Ohio’s farms and rural communities.

He is presently serving as President of one of the largest electrical cooperatives in the nation-South Central Power Company. He is past president of several organizations including the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, the Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives, Incorporated, Buckeye Power, Incorporated and the Ohio Rural Electric Sales Corporation.
