Reuben R. Jones

Reuben R. Jones, Pickaway County, is recognized for his contributions to Ohio’s and the nation’s Holstein industry and for service to agriculture.  An outstanding dairyman, eight times he received the nationally presented Progressive Breeders Registry Award for Breeding Holstein Cattle.  Reuben has held many responsible volunteer leadership positions including serving on the OSU Dairy Science Advisory Board, the Ross County Swine Board, the Ross County Milk Producers Board and serving as President of the Pickaway County Dairy Science Board, Pickaway County Holstein Board, the State Holstein Association, and the Pickaway County Farmers Club.

During his 40 years of service to Ohio agriculture, he found time to be a leader within his church as well as spearhead the organizing of the State Holstein Women’s Association and the State Holstein Junior’s Association.  He also held the position of Director of USDA’s Livestock and Dairy Division within ASCS.
