Pat Leimbach

Pat Leimbach, Vermilion, has carried the message of Ohio farm life and the importance of agriculture to the United States and Canada for 25 years through public speaking, while maintaining involvement in the fifth generation farm.

Through her 34 years of writing the “County Wife” column for the Chronicle Telegram of Elyria. Ohio and for numerous magazines nationwide, including The Ohio Farmer, she has made Ohio farm life a universal experience. She has written three books, and her first hook, A Thread of Blue Denim, brought her the highly famed “Ohioans Library’ Association Award.” Leimbach is a founding member of the American Agri-Women nd of the Ohio Agri-Women organizations and received the “Communicator of the Year” award from the Ohio Agri-Women.

She has received the Distinguished Alumna award from Case Western Reserve University and was named one of the “Outstanding Farm Women of the United States” by Farm Woman magazine.
