Richard P. Anderson

Richard P. Anderson, Maumee, has served the Ohio agricultural industry as former President and CEO, and now Chairman, of The Anderson’s, Inc., one of Ohio’s largest regional companies. As one of the original founders of the

Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC), to the creation of The Anderson’s Chair in Agricultural Marketing, Trade and Policy, Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics, he has left his imprint of leadership at OSU.

As a lifelong advocate of Ohio and Midwest agriculture, Anderson’s creation of The Anderson’s Agricultural Research Fund in 1965 at OSU has provided funds for significant research projects in the agriculture industry. A recipient of numerous awards, his commitment to the agriculture industry and community is evident as he continues to serve on numerous corporate and civic boards throughout Ohio.
