Duane L. Stateler

Humble, charismatic and hardworking are all words used to describe Duane L. Stateler by his peers in agriculture. A dependable pillar and prominent supporter of the pork and crop industries, Stateler has been known since early in his career to do everything in his power to protect the future of farming. Serving both the Ohio Pork Council and National Pork Producers Council as well as other livestock and industry boards and committees, he has dedicated countless diligent hours finding concrete solutions to hot-button issues.

Stateler has been at the forefront of many influential conversations with elected officials at all levels, voicing the concerns of pork producers across the country. His ability to have transparent and up-front discussions with political influencers has paid dividends when it comes to tough issues like African Swine Fever, global trade, cultured meat, gene editing, and Proposition 12, among many others.

Devoting his entire life to agriculture, Stateler’s drive to give back to the industry that gave him and his family so much has led him to work to educate thousands of individuals on agriculture and become an effective and active ambassador of the industry.
