Amos I. Root, Medina County-“Evangelist of Modem Beekeeping.” Mr. Root’s efforts in convincing beekeepers to use the newly invented movable frame hive made possible the commercialization of the honey industry.

He was an innovator and founder of one of the largest bee supply and beeswax manufacturing plants in the world.
